Shannon Coates

Shannon started working for Bio-Waves in May 2010 as a research assistant analyzing minke whale calls. She has also interned with Southwest Fisheries Science Center as an acoustic technician researching Dall's porpoise clicks and assisting with the Behavior Response Survey around the Channel Islands. Shannon is currently a senior at San Diego State University majoring in biology. Shannon's passion for the ocean began at a young age and she lis excited about the opportunities ahead. In her free time, Shannon volunteers with a horse rescue center as a behavioral trainer.
